The short version: our products are GPL, you can use them on client sites, and your plan sets how many sites we actively support.
Our products are GPL-2.0
Axon, Beacon, and AnswerReady are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2.0 (GPL-2.0) — the same license WordPress itself uses. You're free to use, modify, and redistribute the code under those terms. There are no per-installation activation locks in the software.
What a purchase includes
Every purchase comes with one year of updates and support from your purchase date. When that year ends, the products you downloaded keep working — you simply won't receive new versions or priority support until you renew. Nothing stops functioning and no site goes dark.
Per-plan site licenses
Your plan determines how many sites we actively support and update on your behalf:
- Solo — 1 site
- Studio — up to 25 sites
- Agency — unlimited sites
Because the code is GPL, these limits describe the scope of your support and updates rather than a technical restriction. See pricing for the current plans.
Bundled fonts
Fonts bundled with Axon are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. You may use them within the theme; their own license governs any separate use.
